/// Percussionist, composer, artistic director, concert presenter, workshop leader and educator, Oliver has had an eclectic musical career, driven by a hunger for creativity, innovation, and breaking limits.
Highlights include collaborations and performances with BBC Symphony Orchestra, London Sinfonietta, BBC Proms, Julie Fowlis, Plaid, Benjamin Wallfisch, Heritage Orchestra, 4-Mality, BBC Singers, Melbourne Symphony Orchestra, Aurora Orchestra, Dame Evelyn Glennie, Royal Scottish National Orchestra, Scottish Chamber Orchestra, Wigmore Hall, Disney’s The Lion King, and the London Olympic Games 2012 Opening Ceremony.
His creative focus is currently in several projects at the broad intersection of music, consciousness and technology.
COMPOSITION
/// Oliver began composing in 2012, inspired by a yearning for the infinite in a world of limits.
His work draws on many musical influences from his life, as well as his varied performing career as a percussionist.
He has created work for and with: Julie Fowlis, O Duo, Morgan Szymanski, City of Birmingham Symphony Orchestra percussion ensemble, National Youth Orchestra of GB and the Scottish Chamber Orchestra.
